SUMMARY

750 twenty one day ducks (Super M x Nong nghiep breed) were collected and randomized in to 5 treatments, 3 pens /treatment, 50 head /pen such as: T1: control diet base on soybean meal as protein source (KPĐC); T2 and T3: to replace 30% and 60% soybean meal with Tra fish by products (PP30 and PP60); T4 and T5: to replace 30% and 60% soybean meal with Golden nail (OC30 and OC60). Crude protein and amino acids level in diets were the same in all treatments and met the requirements. The parameters recorded were feed intake, weight gain, feed efficiency, mortality, feed expense and meat quality. The results showed that using 30% Tra fish by products as well as 30% Golden snail in broiler duck diet not only affected on growth and feed efficiency as well as meat quality but also improved 18.9-21.1% feed expense compared to control diet.

Key words: Broiler duck, Tra fish, Golden nail, by product.
